Dear Living Water Family,
In an attitude of respect for the decision of the Pennsylvania governor to close all schools for two weeks and for the current discouraging of public gatherings, Living Water Family Worship Center will not be holding services at the church March 15 - March 28. This includes Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday nights. We will reevaluate on March 28 and let everyone know how we will be proceeding for March 29. This decision was reached through review of the available information and in consultation among the co-pastors.
Though we are not meeting at the church March 15-28, we are not simply shutting down during this time. We will meet online Sunday, March 15, at 10:30AM, and again at the same time on Sunday, March 28. We will also meet for adult Bible study online Wednesday nights at 7:00PM. For instructions on how to access the online meeting, please contact me at 510-935-6979.
This is a strange time for our world as we learn to navigate a kind of crisis that is new to our generation. However, this sort of thing is not new to history. In the past, epidemics have been the time in which the church was able to show the world what it means to know the peace of Jesus. Many people are filled with fear right now, and we can help them to see there is a different way. In our own small church, we also want to make sure that everyone is taken care of. If you need something, let us know!
I believe the Lord gave me this word about a week ago: "Coronavirus will not prevail against the purposes of God." I am going with that word!
Please let me know if you have any questions about our response or how to access the online meetings.
